Emma and Alex Phillips

(Em and Al), are a

husband and wife

team devoted to Devon.

They run successful

businesses involved in

event hire, hospitality,

catering, direct

wholesale, coffee sales

and now in the

brewing of real ale.

Emal Brewery, their

third business venture,

is a newly formed family run brewery supplying three uniquely branded

ales; Isca Gold, Legio and Castra. The brand is influenced by the historic Roman city of Exeter. The decision was made to search for an inspirational Master Brewer to bring quality, delicious flavour and consistency of taste to this exciting new Brewery.
